A6. Cool Mint, Good Night and Rooibos herbal teas are caffeine-free and therefore may be suitable for drinking during pregnancy.

Green, Green Jasmine and White tea however contain caffeine and therefore count towards the maximum 300mg of caffeine that the Food Standards Agency (FSA) recommends pregnant women limit themselves to each day.

If you have any concerns about your diet please consult your GP for advice.
A7. While black and green tea is generally made from two leaves and a bud, sometimes three and a bud, white tea is made from the buds only. Ours is made from the spring crop in the Fujian province in China. The only processing that the buds undergo is stopping oxidation by quick steam treatment, sun-drying and then cutting or rolling to produce the desired leaf size. It is the purest form of tea.
A8. The overwrap is a market-leading biodegradable packaging material which is made from wood. The wood used to manufacture it comes from renewable and sustainably managed tree plantations.

Not only is the overwrap biodegradable it is also suitable for home composting.

A10. Rooibos is indigenous to South Africa. It is a leguminous plant which is caffeine free. It can grow up to 2m tall. The leaves and stems are harvested in late summer or early autumn, fermented and then dried. An infusion of Rooibos gives a caffeine free tea like beverage.
A11. Our Green, Jasmine and White teas contain tea from the tea plant Camellia sinensis. These products therefore may not be a suitable drink for babies and young children as they might affect iron absorption. (In Western diets this is not usually a problem)
A12. No. However the tissue meets the requirements for packaging materials used for organically produced products and it is unbleached because unbleached tissue has a lower impact on the environment than bleached tissue.
A13. These products do not contain any added sugar and therefore should be suitable for inclusion in a healthy diet for a diabetic. If you have any concerns about your diet please consult your GP for advice.
A14. They are wrapped to protect the contents. The excellent flavour delivery is in part due to dry ingredients, such as tea and herbs, and also from natural oils and extracts – hence the need to pack in a foil bag.
A15. Tea, from the tea plant Camellia sinensis, is naturally rich in antioxidants.

The other teas in our range also contain antioxidants but to a lesser degree.
A16. That’s purely natural. Any sweetness you taste is due to the combination of spices and citrus components in the herbs and oils. Our teas have no added sweeteners whatsoever.
A17. Yes, as long as it’s brewed using boiling water before being chilled to drink. Once the iced tea bas been prepared consume immediately or store in a refrigerator for up to 24 hours.
A18. Tea bag tissue is predominantly made from natural fibres, so if you put tea bags on a compost heap they will decay relatively quickly under optimum conditions.
A19. Store in a cool dry place away from strong odours.
A20. These products do not contain any artificial additives.
A21. At selected stores of the following retailers: Asda, Budgens, Morrison's, Tesco, Waitrose, and also at Planet Organic, Fresh & Wild, and the Wholefoods Market.
